Text Box: WHO ARE THE MEMBERS OF THE SUNSET CHURCH OF CHRIST? Members of the Sunset church of Christ are people who believe that the Bible is the only source of authority in all matters pertaining to Christianity. We believe that the Bible alone teaches us what we must do to be saved, how we must live our lives, and how to worship God in an acceptable way. We reject as false teaching any doctrine that either cannot be found in the Bible or that contradicts the Bible. It is our aim to call Bible things by Bible names and to do Bible things in Bible ways. We believe that in matters of faith, we must have unity. In matters of opinion, we must grant liberty. And in all things we must have love for one another as Jesus commanded (John 13:34), and strive to apply in our lives the principles of true love as set forth by Paul (1 Cor. 13). In spite of the growing trend of ecumenicalism that would include all sincere faiths as pleasing to God, it is our strong conviction that God has clearly set forth a single and simple plan for man’s salvation and that God still requires man to submit himself in humble obedience to that Divine will. As members of the church of Christ, we desire to be nothing more than New Testament Christians, nor anything less! If that is your desire as well, why not visit with us and “let us reason together” (Isa. 1:18).
